7 THINGS LEARNT FROM SOUTHAMPTON VS CHELSEA

7 THINGS LEARNT FROM SOUTHAMPTON VS CHELSEA

It was an impressive performance by Chelsea, beating Southampton at Saint Mary's on Sunday, 31st October. Here are 7 things we learned from that encounter...

  1. Chelsea’s switch to a 3-4-3 formation has seen their defence impenetrable, coinciding with the Blues being the league’s form team.
  2. Victor Moses has fully matured as a top professional, taking his chances even when played in an unfamiliar position.
  3. Charlie Austin is a top striker who is rarely seen during games but gets into decent scoring positions.
  4. Diego Costa is in good form and off course better behaviour.
  5. Cesc Fabregas will struggle to even make the bench when fully fit. Perhaps time to move on.
  6. 10 match games and still no sight of John Obi Mikel in the starting XI or bench. Time to say farewell and pen an appreciation letter to the fans.
  7. Eden Hazard plays well then Chelsea also plays well and wins! The Belgian has now scored 5 league goals in 10 outings.
